Refunds
1. The general rule
1.1. The Pro subscription, spark packs and author support are digital services provided right after payment. Once provided, they are generally not refundable unless these rules, Telegram’s rules or the law say otherwise.
2. When we return Stars
2.1. We return Telegram Stars if:
- you paid, but Pro or sparks weren’t credited and we can’t credit them;
- you were charged twice for the same purchase;
- a failure on our side made a paid service unavailable for a significant part of the period — in that case we may extend Pro for that time instead;
- a donation was sent because of a technical error and the author hasn’t withdrawn those funds yet.
2.2. If the law of your country gives you more rights, those apply.
3. How to ask for a refund
3.1. Send the /paysupport command in the chat with @Selm_bot — it opens the support chat. Choose the topic “Payment”.
3.2. Tell us the date and amount, what you bought and what went wrong. Please contact us within 30 days of payment. We usually reply within a day.
4. How a refund works
4.1. Stars are returned to your Telegram account through Telegram’s payment system.
4.2. What a refund undoes:
- spark pack — that pack’s sparks are removed from your balance (it doesn’t go below zero);
- Pro — Pro is turned off: its term is cut by the paid period and auto-renewal is cancelled;
- author support — the amount is deducted from the author’s earnings balance, and the author is notified.
5. Cancelling a subscription
5.1. You can cancel Pro at any time in Selm’s settings or in Telegram (Settings → My Stars → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future charges. The current paid period stays active until it ends and isn’t refunded.
6. Refunds initiated by Telegram
6.1. Telegram may refund a payment under its own rules. The effects are then the same as in section 4.
